"Judy Baca's Restored 'History Of Highland Park Mural' Unveiled (Photo Gallery)" by David Fonseca

The "History of Highland Park" mural was commissioned by Pacific Telephone (now AT&T) for its switching station in Highland Park, CA. It portrays the history and culture of the area for the past 150 years. I was part of the original team of four artists who painted it including Judy Baca, Sonya Fe, and Arnold Ramirez and I participated in its art restoration in the Spring of 2011. I illustrated the master drawing we used as a template. Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley and other dignitaries spoke at the dedication ceremony to commemorate the restoration. It is one of the largest and oldest murals in Highland Park.
