The "History of Highland Park" mural was commissioned by Pacific Telephone (now AT&T) for its switching station in Highland Park, CA. It portrays the history and culture of the area for the past 150 years. I was part of the original team of four artists who painted it including Judy Baca, Sonya Fe, and Arnold Ramirez and I participated in its art restoration in the Spring of 2011. I illustrated the master drawing we used as a template. Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley and other dignitaries spoke at the dedication ceremony to commemorate the restoration. It is one of the largest and oldest murals in Highland Park.Photo's Courtesy of the Highland Park Patch
