"History of Highland Park" Mural
Acrylic on Stucco, 130' wide x 12' high
Location: Highland Park, CA. Painted in 1978

The Mural was commissioned by Pacific Telephone (nowSBC) for its switching station in Highland Park. It portrays the history and culture of the area for the past 150 years. I was part of a team of 4 artists (Judy Baca, Sonia Williams, Arnold Ramirez and myself). I illustrated the master drawing that we all worked from. Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley and other dignitaries spoke at the dedication ceremony. Ičve come full circle with this mural because I know live 2 blocks from it. The mural is still there and well-maintained.
